Would give ZERO stars if possible. I was taken to the ER after breaking my leg in a car accident. Things went fine at first, they gave me some mild pain meds (which ended up not helping due to the severity of my inuryies) and did an xray on my leg, after that things went down hill fast. I waited 3 hours for the results of my xrays, which i received by a nurse showing me second hand pictures of them on her phone. Not once did I see a Dr or have anything explained to me by a Dr. The nurse said to her it looked as if the tibia and fibia had slightly broken away from the joint and that there was nothing they could do. It didnt need immediate surgery and that they were going to send me home and that I would need to make an appointment with the Dr on Monday (this was a Saturday night). While rolling on the bed in severe pain I asked them why I wasn't being admitted and that I had no way of getting home since my car was totalled. They shrugged their shoulders, put a brace on my broken leg that wasn't the correct size and then put me in a wheelchair with a broken footrest so I wasn't able to rest my broken leg I had to prop my ankle on top of the footrest. I was then wheeled out to the ER exit and told have a nice night. I then decided to order an Uber who helped me into the back of his suv and drive me to a different hospital. When I got to the new hospital I explained the situation and they couldnt believe the story I just told them. They then gave me proper pain meds, did a CT scan that better showed the severity of my SHATTERED, not fractured, bones and joint. I was then immediately admitted and was told that surgery was necessary and that it would require screws, pins and metal plates to put everything back together. Thank god I didn't listen to the "medical staff" at Health Central other wise who knows what other damage could've been done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I check in online for the emergency room got there in no one seem to know about the scheduleing online and 1 person told me it didnt matter i had to wait got there at 6:45pm and left at 11:00pm had to go to another emergency because i was in to much pain to wait any longer i really like the scheduling tool if it was put to use
I know this hospital has a bad reputation for their service...I had a bad experience with the er a few years ago, however, I was transported here as a direct patient for pneumonia and admitted immediately. My experience has been amazing! The staff is great, the food was fresh and warm and delicious! I even had a volunteer staff bring me a warm lavender scented towel as a spa treatment. Everyone had been so caring and helpful! After my bad experience with the er 4 yrs ago, I will say I'm blown away by the service I received being admitted this time. I can even say my experience was much better than Winnie Palmer where I gave birth earlier this year.
My experience was terrible. I encountered the ANM Fane And the director I believe plump with dark brown curls. Talk about one of their staff members being scared that they may kill someone. She said why would they put her in that assignment, she is going to kill someone. I would hate for a company not to have faith in me which probably why they are short staffed all the time. I would hate to be a worker in that ER knowing that someone that is your superior doesn’t have faith in me. My nurse Rossie and her boss with red hair were awesome. I hope they keep more positive people in their department.
DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! Sat in Triage from 10-130 waiting on lab results by that time no one still knew anything. Last visit I had to literally leave AMA & when hospital personnel called for their "survey" it seemed as tho they backing their staff. Sad when u feel like you're better off leaving the place u came for help. No sense of comfort here
